What we expect at a group

Please remember the children are under your supervision at all times. Please also be aware the session is in a woodland or country park open to the public.

To follow best practice in safeguarding children, we ask that you refrain from using your mobile phone during the session. If you must make a call, please leave the central area where the group is located. This is to protect yourself and the other members of the group.

We also feel providing a screen-free space retains the unique quality of what we’re offering without the interruption of digital devices.

Occasionally the Group Leader may take photographs of the group during an activity. However photo consent would always be obtained from all parents involved.

Our sessions are held school term time only. Please check the Canterbury Steiner School homepage for term dates.

The group runs regardless of wet or cold weather conditions, exceptions being severe winds or heavy snow. If in doubt, please check the Brambles Facebook page here.

The sessions are run entirely outside, so please make sure you and your child are warmly dressed, preferably with waterproofs on a wet day. We do, however, have an outdoor shelter for rain and sun protection!

We like to celebrate children’s birthdays in a simple way. If your child’s birthday is coming up, please add the date along with your contact details in the sign-in book, and let us know when you are planning on coming, so we can prepare for it.

Please feel free to ask questions. There are books available to look at about our approach. We will keep you informed about talks and other activities going on at the school.
