1. Lower School Children:

Please would you collect your children at the end of their last lesson or enrol them in After School Club.

It is not possible for children to be left playing on site after school, even if waiting for an older sibling and even if you as a parent are present.

Thank you for your support.

 

2. Upcoming Events:

18th March 2016 – Sport Relief Fun Run at 3pm on the school field. It is hoped that as many parents, pupils and staff will take part in the run as feel able. Twelve laps is 1 mile. For sponsorship forms please click here, or collect one from reception. Please can we have some volunteers to help with serving refreshments

19th March 2016 – Kindergarten Open Day – details below.

19th March 2016 – Parents Festival 2:30pm.

23rd March 2016 – Last Day of Easter Term.

Please note that the Easter Bazaar will be moving to Sunday 15th May 2016 to become a May Fair and be combined with National Children’s Day.

4. Brambles Taster Session:

A chance to try a Brambles Outdoor Parent and Toddler Group for FREE!

Date: Thursday 24th March 10am-12pm

Venue: Stelling Minnis Common (Park & West Wood, near Lyminge) Just off Stone Street/B2068 near Sixmile Garage.

 

5 .Volunteer Parent Work Days

The proposed work days this term have been postponed due to a lack of interest. We will be looking at how we can organise these days better.

 

6. English Teacher at Wiesbaden Steiner School

Martine Fonteneau-Schneider is looking to spend 2 weeks in the Canterbury area are between 18th July and 26th August. She is looking to absorb English culture and is looking for assistance in finding a volunteer placement in an organisation like the National Trust, Canterbury Cathedral or something similar.

She is also looking for accommodation with a family, for which she will pay or she could offer German and French Lessons.

  • Study Groups Update: ~ Exploring our capacities through the work of Rudolf Steiner ~ We are pleased to say that two study groups are now meeting each week. (See previous e-chronicles for full details.) We welcome new members at any time.
