Parents Teachers and Friends Association

Welcome
Every parent automatically becomes a member when their child enrols at the school. The PTFA is there to support you throughout your time at the school.

The steering group (committee) acts as a facilitator for organising social and cultural activities and fund-raising events for the school.

History of the PTFA
During the Summer term of 2009 parents and teachers at the school started to establish a Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA).

We began by holding a number of well attended meetings and regular early morning coffee gatherings. There was much exciting discussion about what parents and teachers wanted from an association and how best to establish it.
At the end of the spring term 2010, the PTFA held it’s first major event – The Easter Bazaar which was supported by many from both near and far.

Regular Meetings
Monthly steering group meetings are held on Tuesday evenings at 8.00pm. Where possible, meetings are accompanied by a talk/discussion on subjects suggested by parents and teachers. These may range from anthroposophical education to internet safety.

Weekly meetings/gatherings are held in the front room of the main house. Tuesday mornings at 8am and Wednesday afternoons at 3pm - a good opportunity to meet other parents and teachers, have a cup of coffee, and put forward any thoughts or suggestions.

All meetings are open to everyone – if you can come along to just one meeting it will be great to see you.
