Age 14 - 18 years
At the age of 14 the pupils leave the
care of their Class Teacher. A Class Guardian then takes responsibility
for the class. The Upper School Teachers are now responsible for the
specialist teaching required by the young adults.
The imaginative and artistic approach
characteristic of Lower School teaching now turns towards developing
critical thinking, objectivity and careful consideration essential in
all subjects.
The full Steiner curriculum continues
to be taught throughout the Upper School. Pupils may also study for
GCSE's sat at age 17, or the 1st year of A-levels at age 18.
Pupils typically go on to local sixth
forms, Art or Technical Colleges, with very successful results.
We have established positive links
with local schools and our pupils are valued for their high levels of
maturity and motivation.
